Signature of a declaration of intent

On the occasion of the “Scale-Up Europe” conference and as part of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, a declaration of intent, at the initiative of Business France, was signed on February 8 with its European counterparts.

 

One goal: to make Europe a magnet for talents

 

The signatories are committed to sharing information and their best practices on attracting international tech talents, as well as developing proposals for the creation of a “European Tech Talent Desk” information service with the establishment of a dedicated team by the end of 2022, to complement national mechanisms

France welcomes international talent

 

Since 2017, France has already made attracting international tech talent a priority by implementing a series of schemes:

  • A unique online information platform (welcometofrance.com), counting more than 3.2 million visitors since its creation and covering four areas of interest: immigration to France, social protection, tax issues and daily life.
  • A “Welcome to la French Tech” desk operated by Business France, a unique gateway for international talents interested in moving to France to join one of the French Tech top scale-ups.

  • A dematerialization of residence permit applications for talents.
  • A network in France attentive to talents.
